Cherry Blossoms...........

The cherry blossom (sakura) is Japan's unofficial national flower. It has been celebrated for many centuries and holds a very prominent position in Japanese culture.

There are many dozens of different cherry tree varieties in Japan, most of which bloom for just a couple of days in spring. The Japanese celebrate that time of the year with hanami (cherry blossom viewing) parties under the blooming trees.

On Japan's southern, subtropical islands of Okinawa, cherry blossoms open as early as January, while on the northern island of Hokkaido, they bloom as late as May. In most major cities in between, including Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, the cherry blossom season typically takes place around the end of March and beginning of April (see table below).

Furthermore, the blooming time differs from year to year depending on the weather. If the weather during the months and weeks preceding the cherry blossom season is mild, blossoms will open early. If it is cold, blossoms will open later. From year to year, the start of the blooming season can vary by as much as two weeks.

The cherry blossom season is relatively short. Full bloom (mankai) is usually reached within about one week after the opening of the first blossoms (kaika). Another week later, the blooming peak is over and the blossoms are falling from the trees. Strong wind and rain can cut the blooming season even shorter.

The meaning of a different color......

In different colors of roses are the different meanings of affection.......

These are the following meanings of roses:

Red Rose
This one is the most obvious. It means "I love you." It represents romance and love.

Deep Pink
This simply means "thank you". If someone you know does something nice for you, a deep pink rose is a good way of saying "thank you".

Regular Pink
A pink rose represents happiness. It's great to give a pink rose to a partner to say, "I'm very happy with our relationship."

Light Pink
A light pink rose means "sympathy". When someone has had a loss then light pink roses is a very nice way of expressing your condolences.

White Rose
A white rose symbolizes innocence and purity. When combined with red roses (see further down), it represents "unity".

Yellow Rose
A yellow rose symbolizes friendship and caring. It's the perfect innocent gift to give to a friend or give to a loved one when you simply want to say "I care". When given to a friend it also means "I'm happy with our friendship."

What is love? Well, for me love is both an action and a feeling. Love creates happiness between two people but at the same time love creates pain.
